I.sland Couture was established in April 2019 by it's founder, creative director, and designer Kenjulia (KJ) Anderson. Kj is Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, and has been sewing for the past9 years. K.j.’s interest in fashion began as a young child however, she never fully pursued her career in fashion until later in her twenties. Once K.j. realized that she had a bigger interest in fashion then that of her youth, she made a decision to separate from active duty service in the United States Navy and go to college FOR Fashion Design. Throughout her years in college, K.j sought to build her skills and find her own lane in fashion by working and interning for various fashion brands and companies in the fashion industry. Upon her many endeavors to build skill and knowledge of her profession, she decided to start her own fashion brand after graduating with her Bachelor's Degree. Kenjulia Created I.SLAND Couture, the I.SLAND meaning "I SHALL LIVE AND NOT DIE", as her fashion brand name and brand mantra. I.SLAND Couture is a fashion design company THAT KJ has been GROWING in Jacksonville for the past few years AND IS KNOWN FOR specializing in one of a kind custom made apparel for men and women in performance, entertainment and special occasion wear.
